ABOUT
Dacoda Design ~ a luxury lifestyle and interior design firm founded by Chayse Dacoda in 1999 ~ has designed projects that include California hillside homes & Spanish estates - to modern glass lofts in Tribeca and VIP Space for the Billboard music awards in Las Vegas. She has also licensed a line of rugs with Jaipur Rugs and enjoys spending time in India absorbing the vibrant design culture.
Her design path began long before pursuing a finance degree in college with re-arranging the entire house of furniture at age 6 and hanging wallpaper and painting with a design firm during summers while in high school. Upon studying finance at the University of Pennsylvania, she longed to add her creative mind to the mix and Chayse took her finance and design mind and headed west and entered the real estate market in Southern California. This put her front and center to starting her own design firm ~ initially focusing on residential and commercial real estate around Southern California, before expanding to New York and everywhere in between.
In addition to running her design firm, Chayse became well-known for sneaking around in strangers’ houses as the feisty and talented designer on the original Emmy-nominated TLC show While You Were Out where she transformed interior and exterior spaces in just two days for the unsuspecting homeowners; then hosting on HGTV’s Get It Together - where she seamlessly and humorously merged couples divergent styles and tastes. She has also guest hosted as a designer on NBC’s Open House.
In 2019, Chayse took on helping to grow the brand of Pembrooke and Ives in the luxury Golf/Country Club and Hospitality Spaces, as their modern luxury brand expands into new territory.
